Controls Engineering - Trainer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Controls Training Engineer with expertise in gas turbine systems and a solid understanding of controls software engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in UI/UX screen development, HMI (Human-Machine Interface), network architecture, modeling, and simulation. This role requires excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and engaging with team members and newcomers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Training Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on controls engineering principles, gas turbine operations, and software applications.
• Content Creation: Develop instructional materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises that facilitate effective learning.
• Software Engineering Support: Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance controls software solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices in UI/UX design.
• HMI Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of user-friendly HMI systems that improve operator interaction with gas turbine controls.
• Modeling & Simulation: Utilize modeling and simulation tools to demonstrate control strategies and system behaviors during training sessions.
• Team Engagement: Foster a collaborative learning environment by actively engaging with team members, encouraging questions, and facilitating discussions.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to new employees, helping them acclimate to the company culture and technical processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in controls engineering to continuously enhance training content and methodologies.
Work Experience
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in gas turbine controls engineering or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in controls software engineering principles.
• Experience in UI/UX screen development for control systems.
• Knowledge of HMI design concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with network architecture relevant to control systems.
• Proficient in modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.
• Teaching Ability: Passion for teaching and mentoring; experience in training or educational roles is highly desirable.
