Full job description
Lucky Cafe in Mangere Bridge currently look for three Cooks to join our team. Working hours is between 30 and 36 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $27 to $30 per hour, depending on level of skills and experience.
Your duties will include:
Prepare ingredients such as thaw frozen items, cut meat and chop vegetables, measure ingredients etc.
Cook menu items and accommodate customers’ dietary requirements.
Portion and present food accordingly.
Prepare cabinet food such as salads, savouries, and sandwiches.
Monitor stock level and quality, assist with ordering supplies.
Check oven, cooking appliance and equipment to ensure everything works well.
Clean and sanitize food preparation area and cooking equipment.
Perform any other related duties as required.
Require skills and attributes:
Able to start at 4.30am, available to work on weekends and public holidays.
Minimum 1 year (preferable 2 years) relevant work experience in commercial kitchen.
Physically fit for heavy liftings and standing for extended periods.
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Be reliable and punctual, able to work independently as well as in a team.
