We have a vacancy for a Cook specializing in Home Style Cooking, preferably with experience in cooking for large numbers (bulk cooking) of vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian meals.
Responsibilities will include:
• Preparing of meals and ensuring good quality at all times at the Cafe.
• Should be able to cook Indian home style meals as well as restaurant quality meals as and when required. (training for restaurant quality can be provided)
• Must follow the recipe given by the Head Chef of the Manager to ensure that the food is consistently of high quality.
• Managing the kitchen staff in coordination with the Head Chef of the main kitchen.
• Timely ordering items required for the kitchen (food supplies + utensils, ancillary items)
• Ensuring that the kitchen is always in a clean and hygienic condition.
• Supporting the junior staff (cooks) as and when they require help
• Minimum wastage - so has to follow system to ensure that there is no wastage while also ensuring that there are no delays in food preparation.
• Has to ensure that all plausible customer needs are met
