At CrossReach, food is part of the care we provide. We’re looking for a Cook who shares that belief and wants to create meals that do more than just nourish.

You’ll work closely with the Unit Manager to:
Create meals that are nutritious, delicious and tailored to each person’s preferences and needs
Plan menus with fresh, quality ingredients that respect dietary requirements
Keep the kitchen stocked, clean and safe
Support and supervise your catering team to maintain a friendly, organised kitchen
Get service users involved in cooking and baking activities, helping meals become shared moments of joy

You’ll bring:
A Food Handling Certificate and catering or hospitality experience
Organisational skills and a thorough knowledge of food safety
A passion for food as a way to care and connect
Basic computer skills
PVG Scheme membership or willingness to join

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship.

You will also need to become amember of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks.You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.
