Ghasitaram’s Sweets & Snacks is famous in Mumbai and we are bringing its franchisee in Surat, at VIP Road, Vesu.
We are looking for a talented Cook who knows how to cook very tasty Chole Bhature and Samosa. This is most important for the job.
This is a 12 hour job from + AM to + PM, 7 days a week. The Cook will have to arrange his own accommodation in Surat, although we do have a free space behind the shop in the complex for sleeping. Other duties in this job include:
Apart from cooking excellent Chole Bhature and Samosas, he must also know how to follow recipe instructions to cook Sooji Halwa, Kachori and Aloo Tikki.
Later on, after a few months, we will be adding Packed Lunches in the menu, and so the Cook must know or learn on the job, how to cook various Punjabi dishes, Veg subjis, Paneer subjis, Dry subjis, various Dals, Pulav and Rice dishes.
The Cook will be responsible for the entire kitchen alone by himself. Later on, an assistant for the Cook might be hired, but to start with, the cook has to work 12 hours alone. He must clean and organize everything related to the kitchen side. The 2nd employee, a counter boy, will be responsible for everything outside the kitchen.
Cooking of kitchen utensils is the Cook’s responsibility. Dishes will be served in disposable plates and cups so cleaning those is not required.
The work is especially important on public holidays and festivals, as this is a sweet shop. We are ready to pay 15.000 Rupees as salary for this job. However, we can increase it for an exceptional Cook.
The hiring process will include the Cook demonstrating cooking skills by cooking a plate of Chole Bhature and 2 Samosas at our kitchen. Only if you do an excellent job of cooking these two items, will you be considered in the shortlist for the job. Experience or no experience is secondary, but an ability to cook these two items very well is a must. Once we shortlist you we will call you again for a 2nd round of interviews.
