Cook Position
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join the team at DOC Pizza and Mozzarella Bar, an authentic Italian restaurant in Carlton. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen and be passionate about delivering high-quality meals.
Responsibilities:
Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food to meet the highest standards of quality.
Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding sauces and garnishes as required.
Ensuring the quality of ingredients and dishes meets our restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Contributing to menu planning and ensuring that all dishes adhere to health regulations.
Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
A relevant Certificate III or IV qualification in Commercial Cooking, or at least 3 years' employment experience in lieu of qualifications.
At least 2 years' full-time employment in a similar role, preferably in an Italian cuisine setting.
The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, with excellent time management skills.
A passion for Italian cuisine and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
Fully conversant with Health & Safety regulations and able to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Please note that flexibility to work split shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential for this role.
