Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.

Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, including portion control and presentation.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Participate in menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting new ideas.

Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in an Italian restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.

A passion for cooking with creativity in culinary presentation.

Good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: £12.21-£15.28 per hour
