Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for preparing healthy meals that taste as good as they look. You’ll work alongside a team of chefs to prepare and package meals, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for our meal prep service, following recipes and portioning guidelines.
Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard of quality and taste.
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and handle large orders.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Collaborate with the team to develop new and innovative menu items.
Assist with ingredient prep, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary.
Ensure proper storage and labelling of ingredients and meals to meet health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Cook/Chef, preferably in a high-volume kitchen or meal prep setting.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for healthy, flavourful cooking.
Creativity and willingness to experiment with new ingredients and cooking techniques.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with others.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if necessary.
[Optional] Culinary qualification or certification is a plus, but not required.
