The Opportunity
Are you ready for an adventure? We are offering Cooks, Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Chef de Partie a chance to delight restaurant guests with innovative dishes at Kingfisher Bay Resort on the beautiful K'gari (Fraser Island), Queensland.
You are a cook or trade-qualified chef with a flair for creativity and a love for culinary pleasure. An enthusiastic team player who is not just skilled in the kitchen but also passionate about delivering top-notch service and contributing to the magic of Kingfisher Bay Resort.
We’ve got positions ready to fill right now, so bring your enthusiasm and style to our kitchen, where teamwork and motivation are at the heart of everything we do.
This full-time role requires you to relocate and live on the island at Kingfisher Bay Resort. Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000, plus employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading, experience and qualifications considered.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent higher education (a must - have!)
Food Safety Course (essential - because “safety first” is part of our culture!)
Flexibility to work across various shifts - because island life is full of surprises!
Advanced communication and organizational skills.
Time management skills that would impress even the busiest bees.
Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen environment - you know how to handle the heat!

K'gari is a World Heritage listed island off Australia’s Eastern Queensland coast, is the world’s largest sand island, stretching over 120km.
