Job Description
I. Introduction
Copywriter shall writing engaging original copy and edit a variety of content pieces. Successful Candidate is expected to come up with creative, punchy and grammatically sound copy. She must be articulate and have an eye for detail.
II. Responsibilities
• Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
• Conceptualize and execute sound creative ideas for email, digital, social, print collateral, video and other marketing communications
• Continually raise the bar on creativity by writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
• Support the development of editorial guidelines for marketing communications across emails, push notifications, onsite/ in -app messaging and digital ads
• Oversee the design of design creative that will complement copy-writing efforts
• Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
• Proofreading of written materials
• Think conceptually and produce engaging copy as per brief to increase brand awareness
• Participate in brainstorming ideas for and with the team
• Collaborate with designers, managers, and planners to ensure copy is delivered on time
• Interpret briefs, share innovative creative concepts for social media campaigns and be acutely aware of social media trends
III. Profile Requisites
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, New Media, Communications or relevant field
• Minimum 4 years of proven experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional time management skills
• Willing to work in a fast-driven, start-up environment
• Must embrace challenges, welcome feedback, and see effort as the path to mastery
• Must will be willing to multitask and contribute to goals of the company
