Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative copywriter to join our team at our WordPress plugin company. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging copy for our landing pages, email campaigns, social media, and other marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including themes, plugins, and core functionality, and be able to tailor their writing to our target audience.
Responsibilities:
• Write compelling and engaging copy for landing pages, email campaigns, social media, and other marketing materials that speaks to our target audience of WordPress users and developers.
• Work closely with the marketing team to understand the target audience and tailor the messaging accordingly.
• Conduct thorough research on WordPress trends, industry news, and competitors to stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
• Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, grammar, and tone consistency.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as designers and developers, to ensure the copy and visuals align and the technical aspects are accurate.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Continuously improve the quality of the copy and seek out opportunities to optimize the messaging.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in the WordPress or technology industry.
• Strong technical understanding of WordPress, including themes, plugins, and core functionality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to write compelling copy that drives engagement and conversions, while accurately communicating technical information.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to incorporate keywords naturally into the copy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
• A portfolio showcasing writing samples in a variety of formats, such as landing pages, email campaigns, and social media posts.
