Join BALBOA – BALBOA is an in-house creative and production agency that helps sport and entertainment brands connect with audiences through creative that’s built by fans, for fans.
We are currently recruiting a mid-weight Copywriter to play an integral role in our advertising team, focusing on creating disruptive, surprising and entertaining brand and product campaigns across Foxtel and BINGE.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will write clear, persuasive and original copy, and help deliver creative that’s on point and under budget.
Your responsibilities
Copywriting of all kinds – TVC scripts, OOH, digital, social, you name it.
Campaign concept development and leadership.
Collaboration with art directors and wider agency team members.
Overseeing pre and post-production, making decisions on casting, wardrobe, music, editing, etc.
Liaising with external suppliers including producers, directors, motion houses, etc.
Pitching, including building decks and presenting to clients.
Uncovering insights and constructing compelling creative strategies.
Collaborating with account management to keep projects on strategy, on schedule and under budget.
Analysis of campaign results to optimise performance and inform future creative.
Proofreading and TOV development.
About you
2-3 years copywriting experience in an agency environment
Demonstrated presentation skills, internally and with clients
Ability to work independently and self-manage projects
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills – able to give and take feedback and work with art directors and colleagues in a positive and collaborative way
Motivated, shows initiative, flexible, adaptable with excellent attention to detail
A passion for innovation, entertainment and sport
Arts, Advertising, Communications Design or Creative Writing Degree/AWARD highly desirable
