Position Overview
We invite applications for a full-time Core Faculty member to join our dynamic team in the PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) program. Our accredited CES program is dedicated to fostering a multicultural counselor identity, promoting diversity, and advocating for social justice. This role will focus on teaching, student research support, and contributing to program development within a cohort model.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach 24 quarter credits (equivalent to 18 semester credits) per academic year.
• Advise students and support their research, including involvement in dissertation committees.
• Contribute to program development in alignment with our core principles: Quality and Continuous Improvement, Research and Scholarship, Social Justice and Anti-Racism, Professional Agency, and Growth and Expansion.
• Engage in departmental, campus, and university-wide initiatives, including ongoing improvements in pedagogy and student engagement.
• Attend program residencies three times per year.
Qualifications
• Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, CACREP or CACREP-aligned.
• At least 4 years of successful teaching experience at the graduate level.
• Licensed as LMHC in Washington or an equivalent credential in another state or nationally.
• Approved Supervisor credential preferred.
• Strong leadership and administrative experience in higher education.
• Commitment to training and supervising multiculturally responsive and socially justice-oriented doctoral trainees.
• Proven record of publication and presentations at various levels.
• Experience in both online and on-ground teaching formats.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
