Join us as a Core Treasury Lead, Director
• You’ll be leading the team in undertaking valuation of complex financial instruments and handling reserving issues, assessing, and proposing changes to valuation methodologies and compliance statements
• We’ll look to you to fully own, supervise and ensure the delivery of daily and monthly Independent Price Verification (IPV) activities for the Group
• You’ll also be making a critical contribution to the bank, while gaining invaluable experience and exposure in a complex valuation control area of the organisation
• We're offering this role at director level
What you'll do
This Treasury Lead role will see you working with architecture and implementation projects to develop the system and business operating model strategies for mortgage reporting and central bank reporting. You’ll be developing and building robust data ownership and control for all functionally owned reported outputs, as well as managing local teams and supporting functional leadership team objectives.
The skills you'll need
In this key role, you’ll undertake financial instruments’ valuation, PruVal, Bid-Offer reserves and other financial reporting in line with business requirements and address valuation limitations through reserve or valuation adjustment calculations
• Taking ownership of stakeholder and business engagement, leading the journey of business growth partnership
• Responsible for mentoring and managing work from sub-teams and maintaining stakeholder engagement to lead change and sign off on pricing and valuation teams’ packs and outputs
• We’re looking for someone with 15 or more years of experience, ideally in a valuation control or product control function. You’ll need to have an excellent understanding of xVA, particularly FVA and CVA, equity derivative products, volatility surfaces and interest rate curve construction.
• An understanding of basic statistical concepts and team management experience
• Working knowledge of vendor systems such as Bloomberg, Reuters
• Experience of working and building strong business relationships in a changing environment
