About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team. This is a pivotal role that blends financial reporting with daily tax compliance, offering a broad scope of responsibilities and the chance to work on complex corporate accounting tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This position provides exposure to large-scale reporting, tax processes, and external audits, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in audit or tax from a Big 4 or large accounting firm looking to advance their in-house corporate accounting career.

Key responsibilities of this role include..

Preparation and submission of daily tax returns (GST and FBT).

Monthly tax calculations and reconciliations.

Lead month-end reporting and group consolidation for half-year and year-end reporting cycle.

Coordinate audit processes and manage deliverables for external auditors.

Prepare and submit statistical quarterly surveys.

Liaise with IRD on tax credit claims and ad hoc compliance queries.

Ensure adherence to relevant accounting and tax standards and internal controls.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.

3–5 years’ experience in financial reporting, audit, or tax within a corporate or professional services environment.

Strong technical knowledge of accounting and New Zealand tax standards.

Effective communicator, confident dealing with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

High level of accuracy and strong analytical capability

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience with consolidated group reporting is highly desirable.

Mandarin language skills would be an advantage, particularly in working with our key stakeholders.
