What you will do:
As a Commercial Banking Manager, you are accountable for delivering the Metro Bank brand and Business model for Commercial Banking by maintaining and growing the Commercial book.
Manage all aspects of Risk, Operational, Regulatory and Financial Crime
Demonstrate ability to maximise the customer relationship whilst being compliant during customer interactions with awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
Manage, influence and build an internal network across Metro Bank to ensure a One Team approach for customers and colleagues
Liaise, and develop relationships, with internal stakeholders to deliver required propositions and pricing requirements
Ensure risk policies, reporting sets, are managed within risk appetites
Make decisions to support Metro Bank’s business objectives whilst reinforcing the correct Metro Bank operational processes and ensuring we get things right the first time for the customer
Knowledge of requirements of onboarding clients from a variety of jurisdictions
Ability to generate new business and be an ambassador for the brand to external stakeholders
Be aware of the capabilities of the Metro Bank Group and identify customer needs so that we can service, these needs within our capability, e.g., Asset Finance, Invoice Discounting, Bacstel, Credit Cards, Cash Management Solutions, FX needs, Borrowing requirements

What you will need:
Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
Excellent knowledge of Commercial Banking combined with strong product knowledge of Metro Bank’s commercial products and additional services
Fluent in key language in addition to English, e.g. French, German, Italian Japanese, Dutch, Spanish
Excellent communication and customer/client relationship management skills, specifically in providing exceptional customer service whilst explaining complex information clearly
Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to interact and influence senior/executive management internally/externally
Strong understanding of Financial Crime, AML, KYC requirements as well as TCF/conduct expectation
Maintain up to date knowledge of internal regulatory requirements and be a subject matter expert in Enhanced Due Diligence requirements
Confident decision maker that can take ownership and accountability of projects/tasks
