About the Role:

Are you passionate about creating compelling content that captivates the media, stakeholders, staff and the community? We are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our vibrant Corporate Communications team where your words will drive engagement, spark interest, establish connections and leave a lasting impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

Your organisational prowess and exceptional time-management skills will shine as you navigate competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting. Joining forces with your colleagues, you’ll play a crucial role in crafting Curtin’s narrative by promoting our unique stories primarily through media and social media.

Who we are looking for:

You are a communications professional with a passion for developing and executing strategies that support organisational goals and objectives.

You are an excellent written communicator with experience in deciphering complex material for a broad audience.

You know what the media/journalists want and have proven ability to deliver it.

You have experience in monitoring and measuring media coverage through appropriate platforms (e.g. iSentia, Meltwater).

You are very well-organised, detail-oriented and produce high quality work to short deadlines.

You have exceptional interpersonal skills and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You have previous experience in media relations, PR or as a journalist.

Role Requirements:

As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
