Job Description
The GCC Portfolio Analyst will serve as the primary reporting team member on all portfolio reporting and analyses for corporate credit funds with ~$45 billion of AUM globally. The Portfolio Analyst will play an integral role within Apollo Credit, working closely with the senior partners, portfolio managers and other professionals across the firm.
In this role, the candidate will spearhead and provide all portfolio exposure, fund performance analytics, and investor reporting requests, in addition to providing all facets of portfolio management support.
Fund modeling for individual commingled funds and separately managed accounts, both existing and prospective
Provide support for Global Corporate Credit’s weekly, monthly & quarterly portfolio monitoring process and ongoing analytics to track portfolio construction and performance
Assist senior team members in leverage facility asset allocation and portfolio monitoring process, maintain ongoing correspondence and asset approval process with leverage providers
Assist senior portfolio managers with ongoing allocation and portfolio evaluations across the entire credit platform
Generate customized client / investor reporting for both internal and external distribution
Track existing and prospective investment activity across Global Corporate Credit and support the portfolio management function as needed
Assist senior team members in responding to specific client requests
Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and requests as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement
The individual should have experience in the financial markets and a background in finance with working knowledge of portfolio accounting as it relates to investment P&L and portfolio performance
Basic understanding of the capital markets and investment metrics, with a familiarity with leveraged finance and long/short investments
Strong analytical and technical aptitude
Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively alongside senior members of the Credit business and across the firm
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Blackmountain Everest, Sungard VPM, Business Intelligence tools
Approximately 2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry
Team player with strong work ethic and who excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment
