Job Description
We are looking for an individual experienced in sales (especially in the meeting and events industry) and event planning, to promote and sell our three venues for special events, corporate meetings and retreats, and off-site catering. The person in this role will actively sell Cornerstone venues, products, and services, and plan these events. With three distinct venues we are busy year-round hosting corporate events, sporting events, and special gatherings (holiday parties, graduation dinners, fundraisers, celebrations of life), as well as providing onsite and offsite catering for meetings, parties, and socials.

This is a full-time permanent position that may involve working some weekends, and is based at the Canmore Nordic Centre.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years sales experience working within the meeting & events industry, hospitality, wedding or food and beverage organization.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent administrative skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be well organized and able to work to deadlines.
Must be a problem solver who can "think on their feet".
Must be able to work well in a team and independently.
Must have a valid driver's licence.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Promoting, selling and planning Cornerstone products and services, including but not limited to conferences, meetings, catering, and special events with an eye for meeting and exceeding annual sales targets.
Creating sales leads by actively generating new business relationships within Canmore and beyond.
Working with the Sales & Marketing Manager to ensure we are actively promoting all Cornerstone has to offer for corporate clients.
Tracking leads and sales through Event Temple and completing all administrative tasks related to an event.
Representing Cornerstone and all it has to offer at trade shows.
Pitching new products and ideas to the Sales & Marketing Manager and General Manager in an effort to increase revenue.
Conducting tours of the venues.
Maintaining positive customer and business relationships and resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service in a professional and timely manner.
Hours:
Working a 9:00am - 5:00pm schedule, 5 days per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
