Job Description
Our Corporate Events Data Associate will be responsible for monitoring activity in underlying allocated markets to capture relevant corporate events. They will ensure accurate implementation of these corporate events in MSCI Indexes following the principles of replicability, consistency, continuity and minimizing turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitoring activity in underlying allocated markets to capture relevant corporate events
• Responsible for accurate implementation of these corporate events in MSCI Indexes following the principles of replicability, consistency, continuity and minimizing turnover
• For complex corporate actions, make presentations with proposed implementation to senior decision-making Committees like the MSCI Equity Index Committee
• Ensure that the corporate actions are properly implemented in the calculation of the MSCI Indexes and are reflected in MSCI Equity products
• Liaise with the Index Management Research team for corporate actions having impact on Quarterly and Semi-Annual Index Rebalancing
• Handle client queries related to corporate actions and Equity Benchmark methodology
Your Skills and Experience:
• Strong interest in Finance and work experience in finance and capital markets preferred
• Ability to summarize complex transactions and understanding of the practical aspects of index replication
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with good logical aptitude
• Ability to effectively work with diverse cultures in a global team
• Sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultural norms styles
