Summary
Energean plc, an international oil & gas company, is the leading Mediterranean-focused exploration and production company on the London (FTSE-250) and Tel Aviv (TA-35) stock exchanges. The company has grown exponentially over the past decade and is now one of the largest listed oil and gas companies on the London Stock Exchange.
We are looking for a talented Corporate Finance Analyst to play a critical role in supporting our financial strategy, capital allocation and long-term growth strategy. The position will be responsible for a range of activities including financial modelling, valuation, strategic financial planning, M&A support and shareholder analysis and engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial modelling and valuation, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely. The role includes one-on-one interaction with C-Suite and senior management as well as the opportunity for business travel to Energean’s international offices.
Responsibilities
Financial Modeling and Valuation:
Develop and maintain financial models including the corporate and valuation models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and valuation analyses.
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess financial outcomes and risks.
M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) and IR (Investor Relations) support:
Assist the M&A Manager in all phases of M&A transactions, including target screening and due diligence.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and financial material for external communications.
Assist in the collection and analysis of consensus data.
Respond to investor (debt and equity) questions.
Industry Research & Analysis:
Stay abreast of industry trends and market trends that could influence the company’s financial strategy.
Benchmark the company’s financial performance against peers.
Required Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
1 - 4 years’ experience in corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, private equity, industry or a similar analytical role.
Experience in the energy or mining sector and a background in finance is valued.
Proficiency in building and manipulating financial models in excel.
Deep understanding of various valuation methodologies.
Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience in PowerPoint and presentation skills are essential.
Experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg, S&P etc.
Ability to connect financial analysis to broader business strategy.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of an international team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
Native spoken and written English.
