Corporate Lawyer, State Government Of Victoria

The State Government of Victoria is seeking a skilled Senior Legal Adviser to join its Corporate Legal Team. The successful candidate will provide strategic, risk-based legal advice to the Premier and Ministers supported by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver sensitive legal advice on corporate and governance, commercial, contracting, procurement and employment matters affecting the department.

Provide counsel to the Premier and Ministers supported by DPC.

Work collaboratively with the high-performing Corporate Legal Team to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements:

Admission to practice as an Australian lawyer and eligibility to hold a Victorian practising certificate.

Significant experience providing technically excellent and strategically focused legal advice at a senior level.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Strong commitment to service excellence and assisting clients and stakeholders achieve their organisation's objectives.
