Job Description
Our client, a financial institution in Sterling, VA, is currently seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their legal department. The incumbent will provide in-house legal support and assist with complex transactions.
Responsibilities
• Draft loan documents
• Draft corporate documents
• Assist with complex financing structures
• Conduct legal risk assessments
• Provide internal legal advice and guidance
• Work with outside counsel
• Manage legal staff
Qualifications
• Minimum of five years of experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
• Experience in commercial lending
• Knowledge of capital markets, commercial lending and corporate law
• JD from an accredited law school
• Member of a state bar
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced MS Office Suite, document management software and research skills
