Job Description
• Assist business functions on all legal matters in day-to-day business including ensuring that contracts (both supplier and customer) of the businesses in the country are fit for purpose and include appropriate protections for the businesses, including through the implementation of Group-wide policies designed to optimise and standardise contractual terms and mitigate contractual risk. Review, draft and negotiate contracts.
• Support the General Counsel with the effective management of commercial disputes and litigation to which the businesses become involved including, where relevant, liaising with insurers and the effective reporting of such matters to relevant members of Legal and other key stakeholders.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements;
• Manage corporate matters;
• Work with and manage external counsels in litigation and other significant legal disputes;
• Handle compliance matters and investigations;
• Advise on various other matters (such as employment matters) in daily operation;
• Provide training on legal and compliance topics;
• Report on external counsel spending and other budget-related matters;
• Work collaboratively with company legal team members worldwide on legal projects;
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you are a lawyer with 10-15 years of experience with a mix of Law Firm and In-House experience in an MNC/ Manufacturing set up. You should have experience managing a variety of contracts as well as good communciation and stakeholder management skills
