Achieve new business goals, including the annual sales plan at target margins. Identify prospects and opportunities, develop strategic calling plans, and engage partners and senior managers to influence prospective clients in Australia.
Build trusted, long-term Payments business relationships by taking a holistic and forward-looking view. Identify ways to help clients achieve their most important business and treasury objectives, considering local market trends and regulatory requirements.
Engage clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client-focused framework. Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity quantification, and solution positioning relevant to the Australian market.
Partner closely with global and local stakeholders, including Coverage, Product, Client Services, and Implementation teams, to execute the sales strategy.
Understand the unique challenges and requirements in the Australian industry/client segment, including local payment systems (e.g., NPP, BPAY), regulatory frameworks (e.g., APRA, ASIC), and market trends.
Manage the entire sales process, including supervising end-to-end implementation and day-to-day operations of client solutions, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Treasury Services sales, with proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win and close new business in the Australian market.
Strong knowledge of cash and liquidity management products, including familiarity with Australian payment systems and regulations.
In-depth understanding of the transaction banking landscape in Australia, with considerable knowledge of depository products and treasury management services.
Excellent communication skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Demonstrated client ownership with a proven ability to mobilise available resources to deliver for clients.
Effective partnership skills with internal and external stakeholders, including experience working within the Australian financial services sector.
