Your Role
The Corporate Services Assistant will join our busy Corporate Services department. Working under the general supervision of the Corporate Services Supervisor, will independently perform a variety of legal and administrative tasks.
A Day In The Life
Responsible include but are not limited to:
Preparing annual reports and annual consent resolutions for companies and societies (federal and provincial) and maintenance of extra-provincial registrations across Canada
Assisting lawyers in the corporate/commercial practice area; including extra-provincial registrations in BC; changes in directors and officers, Business Name Registrations and Changes in Registered and Records Offices
Conducting due diligence searches including, without limitation, corporate searches for registrations in BC, across Canada and in the United States
Monitoring and responding to email account requests
Handling incoming and outgoing mail
Updating virtual minute books and completing the required provincial or federal corporate filing.
Working in a team setting to identify issues and follow up on outstanding matters

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Proficiency with ALF
Strong organization and attention to detail skills
Exceptional communication skills and a superb client service focus
Adept at learning new technology and working with new systems
Ability to prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and respond to changing priorities

Compensation
The typical salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
