Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in cost accounting
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics BC
Responsibilities
Reports to: Senior Manager, Cost Accounting
Cost Accountant oversees manufacturing activities, annual cost rolls, ensuring accurate recording of costs, analysis of variances, and adherence to accounting standards
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing insights into cost management strategies
The Cost Accountant provides financial support for manufacturing operations: budgeting and forecasting, process flow improvements, inventory flows and analysis, production, capital programs
Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs and operational variances: materials, labor and overheads
Support the location's General Manager with all aspects of manufacturing process cost analysis
Prepare and present detailed manufacturing and product cost reports and analysis
Validate Monthly COGS data for assigned locations
Perform reconciliations of cost accounts and general ledger
Implement and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and industry regulations
Support and ensure locations Process Control Policies
Support the Cost Operations Director on cost management strategies
