Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a rewarding role in the exciting aerospace industry?
As a key member of the finance team, as the Cost Accountant, you will be assigned monitoring of material transactions, dana analysis and tasks to support sales and operations activities. You will support monthly and annual physical inventory, capital expenditures and assisting in audits.
This position's salary range is 60k-90K based on experience.
We have an exciting opportunity for a cost accountant to join our busy Finance Team located in Springfield, MA. Working as part of a small but experienced team you will complete a range of management and financial accounting activities.
This is a varied business support role allowing you the opportunity to work on a variety of activities independently and as part of a team. Where you will have lots of opportunities for development.
Primary purpose of the role :
To be accountable for delivering key performance indicators, such as OTIF, Scrap, and Productivity, as well as supporting the Cost Controller, Finance Director, and Operations Manager in driving favorable financial outcomes in the day-to-day business.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring material transactions to ensure accurate data for costing
Collecting and analyzing data about the company's operational costs
Daily reporting of operational cost and performance
Supporting the Cost Controller and Accounting Manager in month-end close, weekly reports and daily activities (i.e. running models & reports, posting journal entries, and completing balance sheet reconciliations)
Supporting the Cost Controller and Operations Team during annual physical inventory
Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit margins
Managing capital expenditures and related reports according to the company's accounting policies
Developing dynamic and automated cross-functional reports in Excel to support various teams
Supporting the Finance team during periodic audits

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
High level of Excel proficiency and financial analysis desired
2+ years in Operations Finance/Accounting a plus
Knowledge of Epicor or other ERP system(s)
