Job Title: Courier Driver

Pay: $24 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:
The driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of mail, parcels, and documents. The role includes sorting delivery items, following planned routes, obtaining customer signatures, handling cash-on-delivery where required, and maintaining accurate delivery records in line with company procedures and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver goods, documents, parcels, samples and other items to customers’ premises and designated mailboxes in a timely and secure manner.
Sort, sequence, and prepare mail and delivery items to ensure efficient delivery routes and accuracy.
Receive and process delivery orders from customers in accordance with company procedures.
Collect customer signatures and process cash-on-delivery (COD) payments where required.
Issue and collect receipts for pick-up and delivery items and ensure accurate transaction records.
Maintain accurate records of all items received, delivered, returned, or redirected.
Load and unload mail conveyances and operate internal mail-handling equipment safely.
Maintain walk books, delivery directories, mail counts, and equipment maintenance logs.
Assist with receipting inward mail, identifying and processing wrongly addressed, missorted, undelivered, underpaid, and redirected mail in line with operational guidelines.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and delivery timeframes at all times.
Requirements:
Must have a Class 1 full NZ licence (or overseas equivalent eligible for conversion).
Good knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is preferred.
Physically fit and able to lift and move goods as required.
Strong time management and communication skills.
Available to work on roster shifts.
Flexible to work on weekend, or evening shifts.
