In this role you will support our heavy civil team, we specialise in infrastructure construction, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges and Wharves to Water Treatment Plants and Storage Tanks and Pipelines.
We are looking for an experienced and confident Crane Operator to undertake routine, complex lifts and piling work on our projects. We have a modern fleet of cranes, consisting of 50t -280t lattice boom crawler cranes and 25t – 35t rough terrain cranes. The successful applicant will from time to time be required to operate an 8t telehandler and undertake dogman tasks.
What we need from you
Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you're the vital link to safe accident-free crane and lifting operations, good planning, identifying foreseeable hazards and addressing risks will be detailed on your lift plans. You will be a confident communicator and enjoy being part of a small close-knit team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
New Zealand Certificate in Cranes (Level 3 or 4)
Class 4 drivers licence and WTR endorsements essential
Sound knowledge, understanding, and experience of the crane being operated
Experience operating vibro and hydraulic hammers.
Alert, have good vision and are physically fit.
Clear and confident communicator, have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and work well with others.
Positively promote and incorporate Health, Safety and wellbeing on all aspects of work
