ROLES AVAILABLE IN IRELAND & UK NATIONWIDE

Alatas Port Division are recruiting for experienced multi skilled crane technicians in the UK & Ireland.

The desired candidates will preferably have experience with Mobile harbour, STS, RTG, RMG or other similar port and harbour equipment.

Coming from a manufacturer or port environment is an advantage.

Job Overview

Travel throughout UK & Ireland working in customer sites for periods of up to 3 weeks plus.

Mechanical and electrical installation, trouble shooting and commissioning.

Working alongside other multi skilled crane technicians to achieve mutual goals.

Hydraulic, electric, PLC & Drive experience is an advantage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment.

Carry out repairs and inspection on a range of mechanical, electrical equipment and control systems.

Carry out fault finding and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment and control systems.

Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of a range of client equipment.

Assist with spares identification and procurement.

Produce clear factual documented reports for all jobs.

Comply with site HSEQ requirements

Work safely with all site staff to ensure a safe working environment

Minimise any environmental risks which may occur when undertaking the tasks required and ensure all available controls are utilised.

Travel outside of UK/Ireland to assist other departments or for training.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Working within the port/harbour industry.

Experience on Liebherr, Gottwald and Kalmar is an advantage.

Commissioning and fault finding on electromechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.

Work on your own or within a team.

Work at heights.

An in-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance on harbour/port cranes

Harbour/ Port crane service experience minimum of 6 years.

IT literate and be able to write reports.

UK/Ireland driving license.

Have the ability to read schematics and engineering drawings then translate this into practice.

Leadership/supervisory experience

Experience working with marine engineering applications.

Right to live and work in the UK or Ireland.
