Role
As a Liferay Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based web applications and portals.
You will work closely with designers, business analysts, and other developers to deliver high-quality and user-friendly solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop custom Liferay portlets using Java, JSP, and related technologies.
• Customize Liferay themes, layouts, and templates to meet specific design requirements.
• Integrate Liferay with external systems and APIs.
• Develop and maintain Liferay hooks and extensions.
• Troubleshoot and debug Liferay-related issues.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing of Liferay applications.
• Stay updated on the latest Liferay releases, features, and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, project managers) to achieve project goals.
Required Skills
• Strong proficiency in Java : Extensive experience with Java programming language, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Liferay Development : In-depth knowledge of Liferay DXP, including portlet development, service builder, themes, layouts, and hooks.
• Web Technologies : Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
• Database : Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Version Control : Proficiency in Git and experience with Git workflows (e.g, branching, merging, pull requests).
• Communication & Collaboration : Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience with RESTful web services and APIs.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g, React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g, Scrum, Kanban)
