Southern Cross Care is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to support our residents across various locations. We'll assign you to your closest site to make volunteering convenient and impactful!
Our Central Adelaide Residential Care homes include Bucklands, Carmelite, Fullarton, John Paul II, Labrina Village, Lourdes Valley Lodge, The Pines Lodge, and Myrtle Cottage (Respite Care).
What Can You Help With?
Your time and companionship can bring immense joy and connection through a wide range of activities:
Language-Specific Engagement: Engage with residents in their native language, fostering cultural connection and conversation.
Men's Group: Facilitate discussions and activities tailored to our male residents.
Games: Lead fun and stimulating games to encourage mental engagement.
Concerts: Assist with setting up and supporting residents during musical performances and concerts.
Sensory Activities: Help residents engage in activities that stimulate their senses and promote well-being.
Garden Walks: Enjoy leisurely strolls with residents in our beautiful gardens, appreciating nature together.
Happy Hour: Create a lively and social atmosphere during our happy hour events.
Arts and Crafts: Unleash your creativity and assist residents with various art and craft projects including SALA projects
Friendship: Offer one-on-one companionship, sharing stories and building meaningful connections.
