What will I be doing?
Responsible for the Communications Planner for the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Team you will keep track of planned and delivered communications
Work with members of the H&S Team to create and schedule engaging posts for our internal Viva Engage platform to drive awareness and participation
Design logos for Health & Safety campaigns and conversations with the use of AI and digital technologies
Working in collaboration with the Digital Volunteer to promote new Safe Operating Procedures and updates
How much time do BHF need?
We’re looking for 6 months commitment with flexible hours that suit you.
Where is the volunteering?
We know life can get busy, so flexibility is at the heart of this role. Most of the volunteering will be done remotely, giving you the freedom to work from wherever you’re most comfortable. At the same time, we truly value connection and collaboration, so we’d love to meet in person from time to time to share ideas and keep the creative energy flowing.
What skills and experience do I need?
Good organisational skills and be able to work independently
Attention to Detail for compliance and accuracy
Ability to create simple memorable logos for internal campaigns with the use of AI tools (Example, Co-pilot)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability and willingness to learn about Health, Safety & wellbeing no previous experience is necessary.
What training and support will I get?
While we’re looking for someone who can work independently and bring their own creative ideas, you won’t be on your own. All volunteers complete training on MyVolunteer before starting to ensure you are confident and happy in your role. Whilst volunteering you will be supported by a BHF member of staff who will provide regular check-ins, clear guidance, feedback on content to ensure you feel supported and aligned with our vision along with the resources and information you need.
What will I get out of volunteering?
By volunteering with BHF you will help fund vital research and support those affected by heart disease. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and have some fun whilst making a life saving difference.
This is more than just a creative project but an opportunity to develop valuable skills and experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You’ll be able to:
Learn how to simplify complex information into engaging formats (one-pagers, posts)
Gain practical skills in digital content creation and internal communications
Explore creative ways to communicate Health & Safety messages using technology
