Job Description
Create clear, persuasive marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, social media posts, EDMs, and campaign messaging that drive engagement and conversion.
Produce captivating stories that connect emotionally with audiences, build brand identity, and foster a deeper relationship with our community. This will also involve enhancing and optimising content provided by stakeholders.
Understand and apply the distinct techniques needed for marketing content (focused on selling or promoting) versus storytelling (focused on engaging and connecting).
Use analytics and performance data to refine both marketing and storytelling efforts, ensuring they meet organisational goals and resonate with target audiences.
Maintain a consistent writing style and tone across all communications to uphold the brand’s voice.
Support the grants team with grant applications as needed.
Requirements:
Strong ability to craft both marketing-focused content (e.g., ads, email campaigns, sales copy) and narrative-driven content (e.g., blog posts, case studies, brand stories).
Understanding of different content formats, channels, and audience preferences, with the ability to balance business objectives with creative storytelling.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust tone, style, and approach to fit different content types and objectives.
Highly motivated, self-starter, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role.
A portfolio of writing samples for review.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation techniques.
Familiarity with social media best practices.
This role is Part-time, 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) at a pro-rated annual salary, plus superannuation.
