Machobear Studios is an established tech start-up based in Vancouver. We are the creators of liv.rent, an all-in-one platform that connects tenants with landlords. In addition to developing and maintaining our platform, we work on a variety of exciting projects for our clients within the real estate and food industries, providing innovative tech solutions that meet their unique needs.
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative content writer to join our marketing team. You will have deep experience in content creation, and you won’t shy away from switching between short-form captions to long-form blogs. If you are a creative genius with a way with words, we want you!
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and execute the blog content calendar and strategy for our product blog: www.liv.rent/blog, ensuring content is aligned with brand goals, target audience, and seasonal trends
Collaborate with our marketing team to write highly engaging social media and marketing material across various mediums, including print, video, website, email campaigns, and newsletters
Conduct in-depth research to produce informative and accurate content
Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), applying insights to optimize the blog calendar and content strategy
Adapt writing style and tone based on brand voice and audience needs, staying informed on editorial and market trends
Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere to write in different tones as per brand
What You Bring to Us:
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
3+ years of experience in content creation and copywriting
A strong passion for storytelling
Excellent proofreading skills and an impeccable eye for detail
Comfortable working with tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and possess a collaborative spirit
Solid understanding of SEO/SEM concepts
Bonuses
Work experience with a SaaS product or in a tech space an asset
Familiarity with GA4 and confidence in using data to evaluate content performance and refine publishing plans
Passion for real estate/rental industry
