Creative Development & IP Lead — Aavashyak Media

About Us:
Aavashyak Media is the production company behind Dining with the Kapoors on Netflix. We are building our next slate and looking for a Creative Development & IP Lead to own our development pipeline, drive IP acquisition, shape our creative identity, and take our projects into rooms at the world’s biggest streaming platforms.
The Role:
You will work directly with the founders with genuine creative authority over what we develop, what IP we acquire, and how we bring it to market, from the first idea to the greenlight.
What You Will Do:
• Own and drive the full development pipeline from concept to commissioned project
• Identify, evaluate, and acquire IP across books, articles, scripts, formats, and true stories
• Shape the overall creative direction and slate identity of Aavashyak Media
• Develop projects with writers and directors from treatment through to series bible
• Lead pitch meetings with commissioning editors at premium OTT platforms and studios
• Build and maintain a strong read on what Indian and global OTT platforms are actively commissioning
• Scout and cultivate relationships with writers, directors, literary agents, and creative talent
• Shape how each project is packaged, positioned, and presented to the market
• Collaborate on co-productions, format adaptations, and international IP partnerships
What We Are Looking For:
• 5 to * years in creative development, or commissioning within OTT, studio, or independent production
• Direct experience working with or pitching to Indian OTT platforms is essential
• Proven track record of taking projects from idea or IP through to pitch or greenlight
• A strong creative voice paired with sharp commercial instincts
• Fluency across formats — fiction, non-fiction, limited series, features, and formats
• Ability to write and build treatments, pitch decks, and development documents that land
• Existing relationships with writers, directors, literary agents, or platform acquisition teams is a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial, ownership driven, and energised by building something from the ground up
