Job Description
This is a hands-on, creative role at the heart of Make Art Studio. You will support classes, assist with events, and help bring creative ideas to life. No two days look the same, from working with children to building props to setting up for events.
If you enjoy working with people, love art, and are comfortable in a hands-on environment, this role may be a strong fit.
What You’ll Do
Studio and Class Support
Assist with toddler, kids, and youth art classes
Help set up and clean up materials
Support children during activities
Create a positive and welcoming environment
Creative Support
Help develop new class ideas and themes
Create simple props such as cardboard builds and displays
Assist with preparing materials for classes
Event Support
Assist during paint nights and workshops
Help manage materials and overall guest experience
Studio Tasks
Organize supplies and maintain the studio space
Support light administrative or preparation tasks as needed

Requirements
Degree or current studies in Fine Arts, Education, Early Childhood Education, or relevant experience in a similar field
Experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or similar setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage small groups in a calm and positive manner
Reliable, punctual, and organized
Comfortable working in a hands-on, creative environment
Details
Part-time
Daytime, Evenings and or weekends required
Based in Edmonton, in-studio role
Compensation
$18 per hour to start, with opportunities for growth into higher pay and teaching roles based on experience and performance.
