Job Title -Creative Video Editor (Music Mixing – Bonus Skill)
Role Overview
At Novella, we’re building the next global benchmark in luxury wedding storytelling. We’re looking for a Creative Video Editor who doesn't just cut footage — but crafts visual poetry. If you’re obsessed with color tones, narrative pacing, background scores, and cinematic finesse — you’ll feel right at home.
You’ll be working closely with the in-house cinematography and sound teams to create reels, teasers, wedding films, editorials, and social campaigns that reflect precision, luxury, and emotion.
Key Responsibilities
Edit cinematic wedding teasers, highlight films, and social media content that feels like a Sabyasachi ad
Handle full video post-production including timeline sync, storytelling, music sync, transitions, SFX, and final output
Create brand-level content such as editorial reels, Instagram films, moodboards, and promotional visuals
Work with raw footage from REDs, mirrorless, gimbals, and drones
Collaborate with music and creative teams to select or manually compose emotional and luxury-oriented background scores
Maintain minimalist yet expressive aesthetics in line with the Novella visual tone
Manage multiple parallel timelines and deliver with quality under tight deadlines
Color grading expertise using DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or FCP
Stay updated with AI editing tools and use them to speed up the workflow while keeping artistic control
Bonus Responsibilities
Music composition or remixing skills using software like FL Studio, Ableton, Logic Pro
Knowledge of surround mixing, transitions, ambient layering
Experience with green screen shoots and VFX cleanup
Ability to storyboard or pre-visualize teaser cuts
Tools & Software Proficiency Required
Adobe Premiere Pro
Final Cut Pro (Optional)
DaVinci Resolve
After Effects (for transitions and overlays)
Photoshop (for video overlays and still treatments)
FL Studio / Ableton (Bonus for music scoring)
AI tools (RunwayML, Topaz, Descript, etc. — as value add)
You’re Right for This Role If You...
Think of editing as storytelling, not trimming
Love making luxury reels and have moodboards of ad-style edits
Can pull off a teaser as elegant as Rolls-Royce and emotionally rich as a Karan Johar climax
Are obsessed with tempo, transitions, beats, and mood
Work best under creative pressure and live for “wow” moments
Have experience in luxury events, ad campaigns, or weddings
Can toggle between minimalism and minimalism depending on the brief
Location: South Delhi (Work from studio + travel for weddings)
Experience: 3–5 years in luxury, wedding, fashion, or ad film post-production
