Your Mission:

The Credit Assistant is responsible for assisting the Credit Manager in the collection of accounts and reviewing and approving credit applications.

Responsibilities:

Contact customers for payments on delinquent accounts

Process credit card payments

Investigate and reconcile disputed accounts and advise the appropriate person

Release orders that are on credit hold when appropriate

Recommend to Credit Manager customers who should be on credit hold or are over the credit limit

Forward invoices that need to be written off to the Business Controller for approval

Prepare adjustments and open Service Now tickets

Work with customers and assist with payment plans

Responsible for maintaining internal and external communication regarding delinquent accounts and write-offs

Communicate positively with customers in regards to their payments or other inquiries.

Maintain liaison requesting information and/or supporting documentation from internal and external personnel

Communicate any changes to internal and external personnel

Your profile:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related fields desired

5 years of experience in this position, with similar activities.

Credit Management Training, Basic Accounting skills, Interpersonal skills, Communication skills, Time management skills, Organizational skills

CCP Designation is an asset

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and related computer skills.

Positive, service-minded, flexible, ambitious, and willing to take up more responsibilities from time to time
