Business Unit (PA) : Wholesale Credit-SME
Job Purpose
• Ensuring adherence to credit processes leading to proper assessment of proposals within acceptable risk parameters & within pre specified TAT. This would be in line with the market / industry position in ever changing scenario & other macroeconomic factors.
• Enrolling, training and managing a network of CCPA for front end credit processes on competitive TATs including managing the proposal flow, Stock Audit completions & Regularity in payment
• Area Credit responsibility for ensuring the incremental portfolio build up without diluting the credit quality & adhering to all necessary underwriting standards per the credit policy, identifying the current industrial trends, effects of the economic factors, specific Company characteristics which are to be monitored.
• Summarize the risks and mitigants of an account & document the aspects of the customer that needs to be monitored (specific to that business) on an ongoing basis & co-ordinating with the Early Warning team to identify the Early Warning Signals & provide necessary inputs.
• Watchlisted and Exit accounts are followed in tandem with Early Warning team where consensus decision is arrived at for the course of action to be followed, cases divided as soft follow ups - where churning issues, or stringent follow ups- Non adherence to covenants, Regular TODs, Month end interest debits .
• Portfolio quality is being maintained by developing a team having consistency in credit decision and complying the credit process. Ongoing focus on the portfolio by early identification of exit/weak accounts and liasoning with respective business team for having a exit strategy in place for these accounts, so as to maintain credit quality and minimum level of NPAs.
• To generate synergies between Bank policies and market requirements with an aim to keep in line or abreast of Competition.
• To provide best possible solutions & take decisions in the interest of business on issues/concerns faced by the team at the location without deviating on Policies/Process laid out.
• To minimize the probability of risk involved in business transactions thereby improving profitability & overall Business Objective.
