Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank’s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure
Job Duties & Key Responsibilities
The role will require a strong industry knowledge & market intelligence and underwriting processes at DBS to ensure that only credit worthy Individuals are given credit cards in line with DBS risk policies.
Credit evaluation of personal loans applications within defined timelines.
Co-ordination with policy, sales, operations and RCU to iron out bottlenecks. Collaborate with business and functional teams for best TAT and service delivery and meeting long term goals of the respective businesses
Work on Credit policy, process document and competition benchmarking. Incorporate industry best practices with respect to processing turn-around, risk metrics and policy. To provide an inside perspective on under-writing as managed by the leading financiers in the industry.
Assist in performing User Acceptance Testing for credit card workflow and provide relevant feedback to ensure all necessary inputs are in place for safe “Straight through sanction process”.
Review the portfolio on an ongoing basis and share feedback with all stakeholders.
Support in performing Quality control and Quality Assurance checks
Drive ownership of internal processes & compliance with underwriting policies
Support in resolution of risk related customer escalations within defined timelines
Required Qualifications and Experience
Graduate/Post-Graduate with at least 8-10 years of experience in underwriting in financial services
At least 8 years underwriting experience in personal loans (or unsecured loans) with a reputed bank/NBFC.
Digital lending experience will be given preference

Good communication skills, with proficiency in English.
Ability to interact and build common ground with various stakeholders in the business
