Job Title : SQL Database Administrator.
Location : 411014, Pune, Maharashtra (Hybrid).
Position Overview :
As an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the management, performance tuning, and optimization of SQL Server databases.
You will work closely with development teams and IT operations to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of database systems.
Your extensive experience in SQL performance tuning and database administration will be critical to supporting mission-critical applications.
Qualifications :
Experience :
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator with a strong focus on performance tuning and optimization.
- Proven expertise in managing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL Server databases (preferably versions 2012 and above).
- Experience with high-availability configurations (e., Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering).
Technical Skills :
- Strong proficiency with T-SQL, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, indexing strategies, and server configurations.
- Expertise with performance tuning tools (SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Query Store).
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies, database replication, and disaster recovery planning.
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
Tools & Technologies :
- Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Profiler, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with other database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is an advantage.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred) :
- Microsoft Certified : SQL Server Database Administrator (MCDBA) or similar certifications.
- Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate (if applicable).
