About the Property

The Gragin Aggregation is a 4,000 Ha (2,400Ha cropping) mixed farming property located 30km north-east of Warialda and 55km north-west of Inverell. With ~2,500ha of crop and grazing country (1,290ha currently cropped and further transformation underway), Gragin grows barley, wheat, canola, sorghum and forage oats, with both winter and summer harvest programs supported by casual seasonal labour.

The Opportunity

The Cropping Overseer will oversee the daily execution of cropping programs across the aggregation, ensuring activities align with production plans, seasonal priorities and long-term development goals.

This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with the Farm Manager, Aggregation Manager and Agronomy team to deliver high-quality results while supporting the capability, safety and performance of the wider team.

The opportunity

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an experienced cropping professional who wants real influence on how a large-scale operation is run.

You’ll oversee day-to-day cropping activities while also contributing to seasonal planning, longer-term strategy and continuous improvement across the business. Working closely with the Farm Manager and broader operations team, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and high-performing farming systems.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Leading and coordinating broadacre cropping operations across the season
Working alongside the Farm Manager on rotations, timing and program delivery
Using seasonal conditions and on-ground observations to guide decisions
Supporting development and delivery of annual plans, budgets and infrastructure projects
Leading, mentoring and developing the cropping team and setting clear daily priorities
Ensuring machinery, systems and infrastructure are operated safely and maintained well
Driving continuous improvement through better systems, data and technology
Building strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders
Championing safety, compliance and company values in everything you do
About you

You’re a capable cropping leader who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with your team. You bring sound judgement, strong agronomic understanding and the ability to balance production, people and systems.

You’ll likely bring:

Experience in a Cropping Manager, Overseer or Senior Operator role on large-scale broadacre farms
Strong practical knowledge of agronomy, seasonal timing and cropping systems
Confidence leading teams and developing people on the job
Comfort using modern farm technology and operational data
A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in improving how things are done
Formal qualifications are welcomed but not essential — experience, leadership and capability matter most.
