The opportunity

Saab is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement or (CCA). The CSI-IPT CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation, the CSI-IPT.

The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from three industry participants and the Commonwealth of Australia to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.

The role

The CSI-IPT Project Support Officer will perform a range of administrative and project support activities for the CSI-IPT.

They will:

Support onboarding and offboarding of personnel on the program
Administer resource requirement data and update the master database as directed
Act as point-of-contact for all administration enquiries for the CSI-IPT
Undertake clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, document binding, file correspondence and management of confidential records
Management of action registers and support to weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
Arrange and support events
Perform word processing, data entry and report collation
Order and maintain stationery and general office supplies for the program
Coordinate visitor security passes
Book meeting rooms, arrange catering, room set up/pull down and minute taking
Assist CSI Manager and provide support to cover annual leave, sick leave, long service leave etc
Work with the designated CSI-IPT LT Manager to produce/update organisation charts.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a +-day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

2 to 5 years of administration in a project environment (essential) in the defence industry (preferable)
Strong planning, analysis, and verbal and written communication
A general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise, use initiative, and work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
Awareness of earned value management principles (desirable)
Diploma/Certificate in Project Management (desirable).
