About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a new opportunity for a Test & Commissioning Internal Communication Technician to join our Combat Systems & Integration line of business based at SA- Osborne Naval Shipyard & SA- Mawson Lakes, reporting to the CSI-IPT Test and Commissioning Lead.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
You will be responsible for installing, repairing, commissioning, and maintaining internal communications systems and equipment in line with company and contractual requirements. This includes providing technical input into the design, development, and implementation of systems, as well as carrying out hands-on activities such as installation, set-to-work, acceptance testing, and ongoing maintenance to ensure systems meet defined technical and performance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Setting to work, testing, integrating, and commissioning internal communications systems and equipment.
Providing technical oversight and hands-on support for Test and Commissioning activities.
Preparing and maintaining accurate technical documentation, including test procedures and reports.
Delivering expert technical support to projects, including fault finding, defect resolution, and technical reporting.
Contributing technical input to system design activities, planning, and maintenance schedules.
Working autonomously on complex technical tasks within established procedures and safety requirements.
Acting as the technical focal point for discipline-specific activities and supporting continuous improvement.
