The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). The CSSD Technician will be responsible for the sterilization and decontamination of medical equipment and supplies, as well as the maintenance and operation of the CSSD.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a CSSD setting, as well as a diploma or certificate in Sterile Processing. The candidate should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and operate the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
• Sterilize and decontaminate medical equipment and supplies
• Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized
• Monitor and maintain the inventory of supplies
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed
• Maintain accurate records of all sterilization and decontamination processes
• Assist with the training of new staff
• Assist with the maintenance of the CSSD
Qualifications:
• Diploma or certificate in Sterile Processing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CSSD setting
