Curriculum Developer Key Responsibilities
Design the overall curriculum structure for our game-based learning platform
Determine the competencies that are required to master each element of the curriculum
Work closely with development team to develop ideas and concepts for games for each competency
Create the curriculum for each game
Test each game once it has been created to make sure that it meets desired curricular standards
Create stories, rhymes and other content for early readers
Conduct usability testing sessions of our games with kids in preschools, kindergartens, day-care centres, etc.
Contribute to recruiting new talent, as per the organisations needs
Minimum Qualifications
Passionate about working for a social cause and making a huge difference to the lives of underprivileged kids in developing countries
Either 3 years of experience developing English or Maths curriculum for early childhood education OR 3 years of experience teaching English or Maths to children in kindergarten or grades 1 3 OR a combination of 3 years of curriculum development and teaching experience
Masters degree in English, Education, Communication, Psychology, Maths or a related field
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
A scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude and drive that gets high-quality projects done quickly
English proficiency spoken and written
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience building computer-based learning programs for young children
Experience creating assessments to evaluate learning outcomes
Comprehensive knowledge of the latest academic research and best practices on early childhood education
Experience working with a distributed team
