Work experience in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
You must pass a background investigation
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance

Responsibilities
As a Custodial Worker 1, you will be involved in routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds
These duties involve the use of custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture
You will perform general cleaning duties such as mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing of walls, baseboards, floors, handrails, elevators, mirrors, interior windows, windowsills, ash trays, air vents, Venetian blinds, curtains, light fixtures, file cabinets, wardrobes, nightstands, water fountains, bathroom fixtures, doors, wheelchairs, Geri chairs, and tray chairs
This work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to meet standards of cleanliness
Full-time employment (7.5 hours a day; 37.5 hours a week)
Work hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM or 1:00 PM to +:00 PM, rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch
Overtime as operationally necessary
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
• Full-time employment (7.5 hours a day; 37.5 hours a week)
• There are two shifts available. Work hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM or 1:00 PM to +:00 PM, rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime as operationally necessary
