As a Custody Officer, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and secure environment for detainees. Your role involves ensuring their welfare needs are met while consistently upholding a professional and respectful demeanour.

Paid Training: Enjoy 6 weeks of fully paid training, equipping you with the necessary skills for this unique role.

Pay increase after training: Start at $27.35 during training, increasing to $2+.50 post-training.

Regional Allowance: An extra $10,18+ per annum spread over your fortnightly wage payments.

What will your day-to-day look like?

Safely transport and supervise detainees during critical activities.

Participate in court activities for security requirements.

Manage conflict and communicate with empathy, making a positive impact on the lives of detainees.

Value diversity and display a fair and open-minded attitude towards detainees in custody.

Provide safety and security for Persons in Custody, staff, employees, and members of the public.

Enjoy the variety of performing walking and mobile patrols of a designated area.
